Critical Reflective Essay on Social Constructivism and Behaviourism

Situation/Problem

This was my first assignment for the Graduate Certificate of Education (Innovative Learning Design).

Task

Our task was to write two posts (one on constructivism and another about a learning theory of our choice) and reflect on these theories through the lens of personal experience, and provide feedback to two of our peers on their discussion posts.

Conclusion

Completing this assignment reinforced my prior understanding of social constructivism and behaviourism through drawing relevant connections to personal experience, co-constructing knowledge with peers, and providing/receiving written feedback.
